Heat exchanger tube damage can lead to loss of production or even to a complete plant shutdown. Viking Inspection offers a tube testing service which can identify damage early on, enabling plant operators to prevent unnecessary, unplanned and costly outages.
Heat Exchanger Inspection
Our tube inspection services predominantly use Eddy Current as it does not require the tubes to be as clean as some other techniques and is relatively fast. Using this technology we can inspect tubes made of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, in addition we can pick up plate defects.
Our inspectors use the latest sensor technology and reporting software from TMT eddyMax® “The Box” eddy current instruments as well as standard Ultrasonic Testing to determine integrity of heat exchanger tube bundles. The use of our advanced technology guarantees our clients a high inspection standard and gives asset managers an objective, comprehensive and fast multi-channel online signal analysis and result reporting software solution.
> Detection of damaged areas including in the plates
> Accurate plugging of defective tubes
> Monitoring of tube defect progression and quality
> Forward planning with precise tube condition information
> High inspection speeds
> Low pre-inspection preparation costs
